Medicines have advanced far beyond what our anscestors thought was capable. But diseases have developed resistances to drugs before, and this is no different. Well, almost no different. This disease has mutated horribly, and the viruses have become so big, that if you look closely enough, you can barely see it with the naked eye. The horrible plague is sweeping across the world, killing millions. Scientists will have to figure out how to combat it, but in doing so, they must have the resources necessary. They eventually find out a cure, but the chemicals needed for it are scarce, and expensive. This causes resource wars. The cure also has a chance of making things worse, as the resources needed for it are extremely deadly. Will humanity have to evacuate the planet? Will they find a cure, or will this be the end of humanity?

Tensions between Russia and America rise, just as things start to tone down between them. Russia has hacked into way too many of America's websites and events, but that's the least of our worries. America, having an extremely powerful military, wanted to make it even stronger, so no one could match America's supiriority. America took a huge risk, and began making more nuclear bombs - but with a twist, some of them have the harmful, and potentially deadly substances Acetonitrile and Chloroform in them. But there are far worse, too. Russia has sent in spies to discretely steal the plans for some of these bombs. By the time America figured out Russia had stolen the plans, Russia had already manufactured some of the bombs. It's the Cold War's nuclear arms race again, but in the 21st/22nd century, and if they set off their nukes, it could have far greater consiquences. Will the whole world be nuked, or will people have to retreat into space?

Humanity has figured out new ways to harness energy, which are far more efficient and clean than previous forms. While it's supposed to help nations grow, this has caused previous types of energy to become outdated, and decrease in price dramatically. This has caused nations to decrease in power, and some to collapse, especially the ones in the Middle East. But for the larger nations, this means less competition. The larger nations begin to thrive like weeds, and choke out the smaller ones, and poorer ones that struggle to hang onto their status as a country. Despite having few worthy oponents, larger nations face large nations that pose a much greater threat to them than the puny ones did. Technology is advanced beyond what we can describe, but despite this, the world continues to crumble. Will this lead to more catastrophic events that cause us to flee into space, or worse, end humanity as a whole? Or will someone find a way to calm everyone down?
