New powers are rising, events are taking place, many colonies being formed and of course, war is not an exception in this world.
'Welcome to the year 1861.'
Why 1861?
Because it is one of my favorite years ever, a time where colonization is barely a thing, where the rest of the world was still developing, when many nations gained independence and many other things, I just thought it would a 1861 mapping game would be cool.
Also, because there was never a 1861 mapping game in the whole internet, ever, there are 2 billion webpages in the whole World Wide Web and maybe even 60 trillion yet none of them cover this topic.

Too much shit happens on this round, so you can check our turns for the news. ;-)
Backstory
To understand a big chunk of this mapping game, here’s a bit of backstory.
*opens book*
Okay so basically, let’s say this happened early (totally not because I wanna be the North German Confederation) and this just ended.
The Colonization of Africa is also currently happening with a lot of European powers joining the party and taking slices of Africa.
However, on May 1861, Ethopia told the European powers to stay out of Africa, so they have to go for other continents. Does it matter? Not really.
The Europeans allied with the US during their civil war, starting a shit ton of battles and of course, the Battle of Miami which was a battle between the Ottomans and the Confederates.
But, the German Empire and the Kingdom of Italy has declared war on the CSA, meaning that they’ve officially joined the American Civil War.
Oh yeah, the Ottomans and the Japanese had temporarily set wartime puppet states on North America because of the war there.
On October 15, 1861, the CSA surrendered and they were anschlussed by the USA and not only was CSA annexed but the wartime puppet states were also annexed.
Then we all killed Spain and Indochina.
What about now? We’re gonna kill France.

Alright kids, the story's over! P l e a s e c l a p .
How To Play
If you haven’t played a map game before, that’s pretty sad bro then you basically choose a country from the map (id you don‘t know their names then go to that one YouTube video called “History of the World (Every Year)” and go to the 1861 part.
But anyways, here’s the game format:
- Improve military.
- Industrialize the country.
- Buy some lands from Ecuador.
- Start invading Colombia.
- Invites Chile and Bolivia to make an alliance.
Wasn’t that demostration/example of the format epic? Anyways, now you probably know how to play, if not then I am bad at teaching stuff. (By the way, all the actions shown in the example are optional!)
Rules
- No godmodding. (Example: “Brazil suddenly annexes Bolivia.”)
- Don’t be unrealistic. (Example: “Qing instantly nukes Japan.”
- After every round, time goes forward to one month.
- If everyone does their turn, the game will go forward.
- Recreate historical events once in a while. (Optional)
- Everyone shall be given 1 day to do their turns, so no rush, gamers.
- If you don’t post in 1 day, you’ll be labeled as “AFK” and if you don’t respond in a week (7 days) then I’ll have to kick you. (If you’re gonna be away for a while then notify me in my message wall.)
