Low Countries (turn for last turn)
NETHERLANDS
-Since liberating Iceland, we return it to Denmark. Our ships and soldiers return home, and the captured American ships are repurposed for the Dutch navy. Some ships are too heavily damaged to make it back home, so we tow them back.
-A third aircraft carrier, HMDS King William I, is constructed at Rotterdam. It is sent out to help the navy return from Iceland.
-Not wanting to lose the advantage a war gives us in manufacturing and technological advancements, we immediately return to Operation Staalkust and work on an unpassable barrier along the Low Countries coast.
-Begin the excavation of what will become massive underground barracks, airport hangars, and tank... garages? Anyways, these large bases are constructed mainly along the German border for a rapid deployment of military vehicles and troops in war.
-Adopt the Swedish technique of using flamethrowers on low-flying planes.
BELGIUM
-As rebuilding efforts launch into motion, the population begins to steadily increase.
-Advance in technology
-Consider the use of hot air balloons in warfare, but the idea is scrapped
-Build up our navy and allow the Dutch to extend Operation Staalkust along our coast as well.
-Install new fortifications along the Snijders line
-As per our isolationism, the border with France is militarized. The so-called Wielemens Line stretches from Luxembourg where it meets the Snijders Line all the way to the coast where it connects to the new fortifications being built as per Operation Staalkust.
-Sort out Baarle-Hertog and Baarle-Nassau with Netherlands
LUXEMBOURG
-Continue to improve the quality of life
-Rapid industrialization
-We agree to an open border with Belgium, allowing workers and registered citizens to live across the border in Belgium and come to work in Luxembourg. This allows our population to grow without overcrowding.
-Continue working on a rail system to surround the nation and connect communities. This will eventually evolve into a metro line and subway system.
CARIBBEAN AND ATLANTIC
-We tidy up British Honduras, rounding up the last American troops there.
-An invasion of Grand Bahama proves successful, and the Americans are pushed back to Florida.
-Assault Floridan cities and ports
-Developing the islands of the Dutch Caribbean
-The Rainforest Act is passed in Suriname, declaring that all rainforest is protected land. Building materials are imported from other countries to build up infrastructure in the non-forest area. The plan is to make Suriname a developed and modern nation in the cities and towns, but also an environmentally friendly one in the forests and nature.
INDEONESIA, CONGO, CAMEROON, and PHILIPPINES
-Life as normal
BELGIAN TONGA-SAMOA, DUTCH PACIFIC
-Anti-American sentiment
-Reconstructing after war
-Life as normal
-Begin working towards independence
DIPLOMACY, TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE
-With the safe return of Queen Wilhelmina, King Henry steps down and hands over the Royal responsibilities to the queen.
-The Vijandenhelpen begins spreading its services to Germany and Switzerland.
-We are skeptical of Argentina’s method of dealing with things, but it’s not my job to tell them what to do. Seriously though, their citizens should be rebelling in the streets. The millions of citizens of Argentina that are just being given away to another country they may not even like won’t be happy, and neither will the Bolivians, Chileans, Paraguayans, and Uruguayans who don’t want the union forced onto them. Furthermore, people aren’t just going to immigrate from China because they will be given freedoms there. Why move to South American China when you could just stay in Chinese China? Also those borders are way too straight and nice and completely unrealistic.
-Begin experiments with helicopter physics...
