Turkey
-Imperialism time. President Kenan Evren sends a letter to Syria, asking us to give us their coasts to us. We don’t want to invade if they don’t accept, because they are more “socialist” and invading them may trigger the Soviets.
-Meanwhile, we start invading Lebanon via sea by using ships to carry 800 troops near the Lebanese city of Tyre. We use some operation we call: “Operation Coast Block”. How this works is that a group of 200 troops will march up the remaining southern coast. Another group of 200 troops that will march down the remaining northern coast, but will go around Beirut. This will “block their coast”, henceforth severing their seaborne supply lines. The remaining 400 troops will siege the Lebanese capital. The troops, when Beirut’s outer defense falls, will march to the government building, and murder the Lebanese president.
-Still trying to develop more technology, we’re especially working on military technology such as better guns, uniforms, etc.
-Our war simulations, which mimic a battle against the Soviets, proves to be intense for soldiers, especially when combined with other intense training methods (such as doing more reps of pushups, more reps of sit-ups, more laps of running around the training area, etc.)
-Still having our borders closed with the USSR, and we hired guards to patrol the border 24/7. We are also trying to make anti-commie propaganda just in case. One paper features Pres. Kenan Evren saying: “Don’t betray me, and don’t be a commie” on top of a NATO flag background
-We thank New Zealand and Australia for giving us wool. In exchange, we send over 40,000 Turkish Lira each, which is equal to about $8504 in Australia, and $9083 in New Zealand
