How it works: In order to conquer you'll need an army. Every day you'll earn 1500 credits, plus another 500 if you're active. You'll notice that there is a % next to army, that represents your total army amount. The larger the percentage, the more land you can conquer when you go to war, for example:
Great army (81%-100%)
Good army (51%-80%)
Weak army (21%-50%)
Very weak army-(1%-20%)
Lastly, I just want to make it clear that everything servers a purpose. For example, soldiers, firearms and army trucks for regular wars (of course), and sailors, boats, and weaponry for the navy because there is a 25% chance that rebels attack at sea when transporting. (RNG)
