Anjōball is a cityball in Japan-icon Japanball. He has a population of around 188 000 people


Anjōball has been lived in even during prehistoric times. During the Sengoku period, many fortifications were constructed in the area. At the time of the Edo period, half of Anjōball was controlled by Okazaki domain and the other by Kariya domain under Tokugawa-icon Tokugawaball. At this time, he was known for his production of cotton and textiles.

At the beginning of the Meji period, he was a collection of villages in the Aichi prefecture . He was elevated to town status in 1906. During the 1920's and 1930's, Anjōball was one of the most agricultural reigions due to the opening of the Meji irrigation canal.

Anjōball was elevated to city status in 1952. In 1967, it took the neighboring town of Sakuraball.
