Antwerpball is an ant a province of Belgium-icon.png Belgiumball. Its clay borders that of East Flandersball, Flemish Brabantball, Limburgball (Belgium) and Northern Brabantball.

History

Antwerpball started as a 2ball, adopted by Gaul-icon.png Gaulball, SPQR-icon.png SPQRball, Germania-icon.png Germaniaball, HRE-icon.png HREball and Belgium-icon.png Belgiumball.

It's name is derived from the Dutch saying 'handwerpen' (Antwerpen is the Dutch name for Antwerp), which means throwing a hand. This name is derived from the myth of Brabo, a dude who cut off the hand of a giant and then threw it in the Scheldt river. This myth definitely, absolutely, totally has nothing to do with Belgiumball's hand fetish at all.
