History
Bangkokball was a small fishing village on the Chao Phraya River, under the rule of Ayutthayaball. Because of its important location at the river mouth, it rose into importance. It became a trading city, and a siege happened here in 1688 when the
French were removed from the kingdom.
Ayutthayaball was anschlussed by
Konbaungball in 1767 and Ayutthayaball was left to rot, and Bangkokball rose into power as the capital of Thonburiball. In 1782, the city was moved to Rattanakosin Island and founded the
Siamball kingdom. The city was officially founded in 1782, when the City Pillar was erected.
Over time, it became more popular eventually.
