Chinese Taipeiball is the countryball representing the Republic of China when he competes in international sports events under the name "Chinese Taipei".
The Republic of China (nationalist) and the PRC (Communist) live in conflict since the end of the Chinese Civil War in 1949. The Nationalist government which retreated and made strong on the island of Taiwan, accepts that this island is part of China, but defines that China and Republic of China. Instead, the communist government of the PRC claims the island of Taiwan is part of its territory.
As for international sports competitions, Taiwan has to compete under the name Chinese Taipei due to the opposition of the government of the People's Republic of China to Taiwan competes under his own name and / or national symbols. These conditions began to take shape in 1979, when the International Olympic Committee issued Nagoya Resolution, in which Taiwan was allowed to return to the Olympics. The resolution was accepted by the Taiwanese government in 1981 and came into force at the Olympics in 1984.
- For every sporting event it uses a different flag (the flag shown in the infobox is used for the Olympics).
