Meng Jiang (Chinese: 蒙疆, Pinyin: Měngjiāng) was a puppet state of empireofjapanball in Chinaball's Inner Mongolia region. It was also called Mengtsjoekwoball, analogous to Manchukuoball, a Japanese puppet state in Manchuria.
The land consisted of the then Chinese provinces of Chahar and Suiyuan. The capital was Kalgan, the current Zhangjiakou.
History
On May 12, 1936 the Mongol Military Government was formed in October 1937 renamed the United Mongolian Autonomous Government. On 1 September 1939 the autonomous governments of South Chahar and northern Shanxi were united with the Mongolian Government and as Mengjiangball was formed. On August 4, 1941 the name was changed again in MongolianAutonomousFederationball. In 1945, at the end of World War II, the state disappeared when the SovietUnionball invaded the country. The bulk of Meng Jiang, with the exception of the capital, is currently in Inner Mongolia.
