Secularismball is the principle of separation between government institutions and persons mandated to represent the state from religious institutions and religious dignitaries.

A secular state is a concept of secularism where the power of the state is officially impartial with regard to religious matters, neither supporting or opposing any religion. However, the secular state is not considered atheist, or agnostic, just as the secular state accepts belief in God, although it also respects the right to religious disbelief.

A secular state treats all its citizens equally regardless of their religious choice, and should not give preference to individuals of a certain religion. Theocratic state or theocracy is the opposite of a secular state, that is, it is a state where there is a single official religion, as is the case of the Vaticanball (Catholicball) and Saudi Arabiaball(Islamball).

The secular state must guarantee and protect the religious and philosophical freedom of every citizen, preventing

any religion from exercising control or interfering in political matters. In what differs from the atheist state - as was the extinct USSRball - is demonstrated in the fact that the latter is opposed to every practice of religious nature or acceptance of God, gods or deities of any nature. However, although it is not an atheistic state, the secular state must also respect the right to religious disbelief.
