Sendaiball is the capital cityball of Miyagiball prefecture, and is the largest cityball of the Tōhokuball region. Its nickname is "City of Trees" due to the many trees that are located on one of its main streets.
It hosts the largest Tanabata festival in Japanball during the summer, and in winter hosts the Pageant of Starlight, its trees decorated with thousands of lights.
In 2011, Sendaiball's coastal areas were hit hard by the earthquake and tsunami, its baseball stadium (home of the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles) was badly damaged. Two years later in 2013, the Eagles won the Japan Series championship, beating Tokyoball's Yomiuri Giants.
