When I see posts on Facebook about populist political parties like National Front and AfD, the comment section often looks like this:
"They will regret when the Muslims conquered their land"
"They chose to be the boiling frogs"
...and something like that. I can't remember.
I'm not taking about democracy here (So stop whining Furious). I'm talking about populism. There are populist parties in Hong Kong, most notably the League of Social Democrats.
LSD is left-wing. National Front and AfD are right-wing.
They have things in common: anti-elitism, social justice and nativism.
They are supported by the grassroots.
They oppose mass immigration.
They want changes.
That's it.
