Countryballs Game: Updates (Oct. 30, 2015)

User blog

Ok, so it's my semestral break (In the philippines, once we have went through half of the school year, we get a semestral break or "sembreak" for short, in which there are more than at least 5 days of vacation)

I have officially started game developement!

And about all those things in my last previous blog post...well...they were all scrapped.

To avoid too much spoilers like in the last blog post (well all that was scrapped anyways so...), i'll only put small details in here, not too much, not too little.

Semestral break has ended :(

List of ideas

  • [X] Countryballs: Nation Reclamation  SCRAPPED!
  • [X] Countryballs: Realm of Relevancy SCRAPPED!
  • [O] Countryballs: Dreamscaped CURRENT PROJECT!

Countryballs: Dreamscaped

Countryballs: Dreamscaped is my latest project, and i think it's perfect! The "dreamscaped" part will make sense after you read the storyline below.

Storyline

The countries have to escape a mysterious dreamscape when an unknown country sends everyone in it.

The unknown country apparently cannot afford a nightmare-scaper, so he bought a dreamscaper instead.

Developer's Diary

In here i will update once in a while my experiences and problems with game development:

Oct. 29, 2015 - UGH! I got this hair-pulling bug that i couldn't fix at first, but did fix it later by adding "vspeed = 0" code. Who knew that could solve my problems?

Oct. 30, 2015 - Added some bullet and bullet explosion codes, but i did spent 30 minutes trying to perfect the bullet explosion's absolute location. But i did eventually got the perfect explosion position later on.

Oct 31, 2015 - Added water physics, not that hard, but also confusing. Now how would i make splashes? Hmmm...

November 1, 2015 - No progress has been made but i have researched some coding stuff.

November 8, 2015 - Added spike codes and player collision effects.

November 10, 2015 - Added booster obstacles; also game physics research

November 13, 2015 - Major additions: Completed 7ball codes, added shield codes, shield collision point and arrow ricocheting. Also a new preview released: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7otM9J41hQ
